What is Chiropractic Massage Therapy?

Do you want Massage Therapy? Or do you want the benefits of Massage Therapy: relaxed muscles without tightness or pain?

So many people seek out massage therapy because massage therapy works for relaxing tight and tender muscles. But did you ever wonder how it does that? Or even a better question, why do I have to keep on going back again and again and again?

Unfortunately, if you do not get to the root cause of why the muscles are tight and tender, then you’re simply chasing the symptoms. In other words, if you don’t change your postural structure, the muscles will ALWAYS revert back to being tight and tender.

To best illustrate my point, let me tell you the story of the leaning Tower of Pisa:

The famous leaning Tower of Pisa was built in three different segments over 800 years. The tower was sinking roughly 4 mm per year every year despite all of the efforts to stabilize and straighten the tower.

Many efforts were undertaken to straighten the leaning Tower of Pisa; from simple things like steel cables and counter weighting to elaborate methods of building subsequent sequences leaning in the opposite direction. None of these worked.

Your misaligned posture and spine are like the leaning Tower of Pisa. Your muscles of your spine are like the steel cables of the leaning Tower. Does it make sense to loosen steel cables that are holding up the leaning Tower?

Of course not; the same can be applied to the muscles of your spine. So it doesn’t make sense to merely loosen your muscles through massage without correcting the posture of your spine through chiropractic care. However, when done together, it works wonders. That’s why we advocate that you get chiropractic care along with massage, but never just massage alone.

Chiropractic massage has been proven to assist in mending of a large number of conditions including:

  • Back pain
  • Postoperative care
  • Sleep disorders
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Sacroiliac joint dysfunction
  • Disc issues
  • Pinched nerves
  • Joint pain
  • Headaches

Chiropractic care is an excellent method for improving overall health and musculoskeletal efficiency, while massage has a number of beneficial effects on the body and the mind. Chiropractic massage additionally benefits patients with muscle spasms, as well as soft tissue injuries.
